I heard a story about someone who suffered her whole life and died. It was utterly depressing that nothing, absolutely nothing good came to her throughout the course of her life up to the very end. How could that be possible?

Or maybe some good things did come to her, but horrible things kept happening to her so often. maybe it depends on how you look at it.
