snowy nights

thank God for snow.

it had been raining the whole day and the sky was gray and dreary. I spent most of the day talking to davidl. at about eight at night it started to snow. it was very exciting. and i kept sticking my head and hands out of the window trying to catch some snow. davidl said the snow would probably melt and wouldn't form a layer on the ground. but around nine you could see frost building up on the ground.

so about half past nine we got out our gloves and coats and ran outside into the snow. we waged war with the other halls and had snowball fights. some girls tried to build a snowman, which failed miserably. it was so frosty and awesome. unfortunately croissant hit me in the face with a snowball. I got snow in my mouth. but seeing as how there is divine justice on earth, davidl got him in the face after roxanne beat him up. snow wars are so dramatic.

after everyone else went in davidl and i threw snowballs and croissants room to make him come outside again. we walked to the sports pitch which had a thick perfectly untouched layer of snow and did some snow angels and decided whether to wage war against the french or get back at the british for abandoning singapore during the war or chase after the girl.

and then we all retreated back inside for hot chocolate and supper.
