I'm feeling quite out of it today. after reaching home I was told that I needed to be back on campus at 6 to have an important meeting. apparently some pussy wrote to the president of one world week complaining that media didn't know photoshop and that we weren't encapsulating creative marketing's ideas, basically we weren't being the graphics slaves that the asshole expected us to be. I'll admit that I'm not that proficient at photoshop or a lot of design software for that matter, but my role is mostly creative input, and I am enjoying picking new skills up. and to be honest a lot of the things that media has been producing is admitted to be amazing among all the executives. except maybe the marketing exec, because she just tries to keep up the shenanigan caused by her mistakes.
I understand that this confusion over jobs isn't creative marketing's fault or media's fault, but the fact that the cunt was so cordial and friendly when we were asking for his advice on adobe illustrator, and apparently spiteful and cutting in the email he sent the president is what really upset me. I like the rest of creative marketing, and I think that this whole conundrum they are stuck in now is the marketing executive's fault, who has no idea what the hell is going on at all. when I spoke to one of the creative marketing people to confirm something the exec said, they said, don't listen to her, just follow what we say. and me and another creative marketing person were planning what to do over the weekend, just so we'd be able to give creative marketing some work to do.
well now, abhiroop said he was considering assimilating creative marketing into media, just to stop having this problem, but he decided not to because he didn't want the ass in media. I think simran felt the same way. she was fuming during the meeting.
I would have been glad, depending on what charli preferred [she did the most merchandise work] to give them more work to do with merchandise. but since the pussy decided to go crying to the president about how we weren't doing what louise said we would do, we've all just decided to give them all the merchandise work to do to 'satisfy his ego' as simran put it.
sure, it's admirable that the guy, a masters student is working five jobs to finance himself through his course, but he's such a fucking twat.
